Coaching for HR

HR Leadership Forum

Maybe you feel unwilling or lack the opportunity to talk with a group of peers you trust about the challenges you face and the issues you are dealing with.  Or you'd love to learn from other enthusiastic HR professionals whose support would encourage you to take risks you otherwise wouldn't.

Leading the HR function can be a lonely place.  You provide support to your colleagues and peers within your business, but who is your sounding board?

Launching in Cambridge in early 2012, this new HR Leadership Forum provides the rare opportunity for you to come together with a group of peers from diverse backgrounds, organisations and sectors for you to share your HR leadership challenges in an open, confidential, safe and supportive environment.

What will you experience?

  • A professionally facilitated action learning set which meets regularly over a period of 6 months
  • A safe sounding board of peer-level senior HR leaders from a diverse mix of organisations and sectors
  • Practical ways of meeting individual and organisational challenges through exposure to broader perspectives.

Why should you take part?

You will gain enhanced leadership skills through working with and learning from a diverse and high-calibre group of senior HR leaders. As well as a safe sounding board, you will build a trusted, ongoing network of senior professionals. You will be challenged and learn with your peers through senior level cross-sector interaction. Ultimately this will result in lasting links with a wide range of organisations, and valuable insights into other organisations’ approaches and innovations.

Each participant may wish to focus on transforming one key area of his/her life.

Objectives could include goal setting, accountability, greater clarity, trust, success, balance between work and home life.

Benefits include mentoring, peer networking, exchange of experience and ideas, mutual support, inspiration, personal and professional development.

How will your organisation benefit?

This will be an opportunity for you to benefit from a supportive network of highly experienced peers from different sectors, to gain the insights of others, and share good practice in a safe environment.

Each half day session will take place on a monthly basis.

There will be an information/Q&A session in mid-January.  And by joining early, you will get an opportunity to shape the Forum’s agenda.

Outline programme

  • A monthly 3 hour workshop for 6 months - February to July 2012
  • One 1:1 coaching session for individual support and development during the programme
  • Input from a successful HR leader (someone interviewed as part of research I am undertaking)
  • Access to the wisdom and support of a group of peers also committed to learning and growth.

Q&A Session

There is an information event on Wednesday 25 January between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm to find out more about the programme and to meet the facilitator.  Book a place for the event here.
